Support Services

VMS Software provides a full support offering for both the OpenVMS Operating Environment and Layered Products. Customers have the choice of four support packages:

* Bronze 9x5    * Silver 24x7   * Gold 24x7   * Platinum 24x7

Each package includes a phone number to call, rights to versions of VSI's releases of OpenVMS—including update patches, access to knowledgable engineers or technicians, and a response time commensurate with the package they purchased, starting with 4 hours for Bronze to immediate for Platinum (sometimes referred to as Critical Support).

Professional Services

VMS Software, Inc. has formed the VSI Professional Services Alliance, a grand alliance of service providers from around the world, with skill sets that can address any and all challenges or requirements of our demanding mission critical user base. This powerful group of experts, along with VSI's own core engineering staff, have pooled their combined strengths and skills to shore up the platform's urgent need for OpenVMS-trained IT engineers and technicians.

Our vision is global in scope. However, vendor selection takes into account the specific needs of each locale; such as languages, local regulations, time zones, etc. At the same time, the normal complexity of selecting the right vendor is helped along by VSI—we will vet and certify each vendor. Furthermore, all agreements will be entered into with VSI. VSI will engage the appropriate vendor(s) as scoped out with the customer.

Training & Education Services

Official OpenVMS training is now offered by VMS Software, Inc. and its partners. You are welcome to take the course at our headquarters in Bolton, Massachusetts USA (guided tour included, time permitting), or join the live instructor in a webinar setting.
